We all want to show our best side to the outside world, don’t we? We buy tummy-control jeans, and copious amounts of hair products, and tons of makeup. We primp and preen, and hope no one sees our flaws.
There are some things, though, that can’t be fixed cosmetically – they are the results of hard work and dedication. Take those tummy-control jeans, for example – there is only so much they can control!
Most of us want to “look” like Christ on the outside, showing a “spiritual” face to those around us. But if we don’t allow Him to do a work on our insides, that will never truly be a reality.
It takes prayer, time in the Word, and dedication to making changes in our life to show His glory to those around us. If we aren’t willing to do all that, then the best we will do is put up a false front.
Let His light shine through you, so that you will glorify Him. It’s not easy, but in the end it will be worth it.
