“For the righteous falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked stumble in times of calamity.” Proverbs 24:16

So many times in life, we think it’s an all-or-nothing proposition. I mean, how many times have you been trying to diet, only to slip up with a chocolate bar or an order of fries? It’s easy to justify just “letting go” for the rest of the day!

But when you are trying to eat right,  it isn’t helpful to take that attitude. And it isn’t helpful in our spiritual walk, either.

God made us. He knows our weaknesses and our downfalls. That is why He doesn’t expect us to follow Him perfectly, just faithfully. He knows we will mess up, so He is waiting with open arms to forgive us and help us get back on track.

Have you stumbled? Are you afraid you’ve messed up so badly that you may as well throw in the towel? Don’t give up! Don’t stop! He doesn’t expect perfection, just faithfulness. Let Him restore you today.
