“By yourself you’re unprotected. With a friend you can face the worst. Can you round up a third? A three-stranded rope isn’t easily snapped.” Ecclesiastes 4:12

If you have ever been a member of a choral group, you know how much easier it is when you aren’t the only one singing your “part.” Personally, I am more confident when I’m not the only alto around, because I’m not having to carry the weight of singing those notes alone. The more of us that are singing that part, the easier the job becomes. The whole group is stronger as a result.

I think isolation is one of the most often used tools in the enemy’s box. He knows that God designed us to walk in community. We need other believers around us, so that we aren’t facing life’s difficulties alone. When we all support each other in our roles in the Kingdom, the whole Body of Christ is stronger.

Are you feeling alone in your walk today? I pray that Godly people would be placed in your path, to come alongside you in faith. Or, maybe you need to keep your eyes peeled, because God has someone He needs you to reach out to. Either way, He will join us with like-minded believers, and we – and the Church – will be stronger for it.
