Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, “The Lord did not appear to you.” The Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.” And he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it. Exodus 4:1-3
Are you faced with an impossible situation? Consider Moses. He was a fugitive, who had lived on the back side of the desert for 40 years. He had a speech impediment. His own people didn’t trust him. And yet, God had orchestrated Moses’ entire life to use him to set the Israelites free.
He thought he was ill-equipped for the job. But God showed Moses that he already had everything he needed to fulfill the task. When Moses fashioned that staff, he thought it was to help him herd sheep and navigate rocky terrain. What a shock to learn that his walking stick was part of God’s plan to change history.
What obstacles are you facing? You might be surprised to know that God has already provided all the tools you need to be victorious. What looks like an ordinary thing to you can become extraordinary when you place it at God’s disposal. Do an inventory, and yield the results to Him. He will take your offering and make something great for Him.
