“And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.” Revelation 12:11

Life is often referred to in war-like terms. Battle…victory…conquer…

That’s because life is a battle. Since the Fall, man has been engaged in an epic struggle between good and evil, between our spirit and our flesh, between our Father and our enemy.

It can be a bit overwhelming.

But as Christians, we have a different viewpoint. We have been given the keys to victory through our faith in Christ. He provides His blood to cover our sins. We provide our testimony. It’s a faith-building exercise to let the words come out of our mouths of what the Lord has done for us! The more we hear ourselves saying it – whether speaking in a formal setting, one-on-one with our neighbor, or in worship during our day – the more we really begin to latch on and believe it. Those words sink deep in our souls, making it more difficult the next time Satan tries to plant seeds of doubt and discouragement there.

Your enemy wants you to keep quiet. It helps him discourage you, and keeps you from encouraging others. Words are powerful, but if we don’t use them to tell of God’s excellent greatness, we are not using all the tools He has given us.

Speak up. Sing it out. Shout it from the rooftops. God is good, Jesus is real, and Satan is a liar! Get the truth in your spirit and in your mouth, and testify your way to victory.
