“Then Abraham waited patiently, and he received what God had promised.” Hebrews 6:15

My husband is a man of few words. He doesn’t speak unnecessarily,  and if you ask him a question you may be waiting awhile. As his wife, I can testify that these propensities can make for frustrating conversations! So why do I (and others) continue to put up with it? Because his answers are usually wise,  reasoned, and helpful. It may take awhile to come, but it’s worth the wait.

God’s promises don’t always come when we think they should, either.  The time between the word and the manifestation can be agonizingly slow! But time and again, His word (and our experience) tells us that our wait will pay off. It may not be when we want it, but it will always be when we need it.

Are you waiting on the Lord in some area? Don’t give up,  and don’t lose sight of the promise. What seems slow to us is perfect timing to God. Hold on and hang on, because your answer is on the way.
