“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

Have you ever looked at a recipe, and thought “Hey, this only takes 20 minutes to cook!” After 45 minutes and still no dinner, have you looked at the rest of the instructions?

Prep time: 30 minutes. Oops.

There is always a time of preparation involved, whether in cooking or in serving God. So many of us want to be walking in our destiny so badly. But we often forget that before we can do that, God has some work to do on us. He has created us with a destiny, but part of that plan is the prep time we are going through right now.

Don’t discount the prep time. Don’t get discouraged that it’s taking longer than you would like. It’s all part of the process. It’s all part of why He created us, He forms us, and He guides us down the road. Look back at where you have been, and look ahead to where you are going.  It might not make sense when you are chopping vegetables, but it will all come together in the final dish.
