“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24
If you have been a Christian for any time at all, you should already have learned one important truth: it is not a life meant to be lived without the benefit of community.
We were created for communion with our Creator, and for community with each other. We are to share in our times of rejoicing, and lift each other up in times of difficulty. But, did you realize we also have another important job as the Body of Christ? We are to motivate each other to do the right thing.
That doesn’t mean we are to beat each other down if we think our fellow believers aren’t doing as much for the Kingdom as we think they should! It means we are to cheer one another on, get into a team mentality, and tackle the problems around us with a strength we just don’t have as individuals.
Whether it’s an organized campaign throughout your church, or just a group of friends who see a need and figure out a way to fill it, serving together and motivating each other builds better communities, better churches, and better Christians. We need to be able to count in each other’s support as we minister to the world around us.
Who can you cheer in today?
