“The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.” Revelation 22:17

It’s tax time here in the United States,  and everywhere you look there are merchants targeting people with a chunk of change to spend. From car dealers to appliance stores, everyone wants a piece of the action.

It can all seem to be a bit much.

It’s comforting to remember that we have One who isn’t  trying to sell us anything. He won’t discard us when our refund is spent. He only wants one thing from us: to see us come to Him and commune. He wants to give, not take. He wants to encourage, not use up.

Come. It’s a simple request, but it can be so difficult. Come, drink, be filled. We have to give of ourselves, but we get so much more in return.

Just come, and He will take care of the rest.
