You hear it said over and over again – we need to be conscious of how we spend our time.

But it’s true.

I can spend my time worrying, complaining, and finding fault. The end result is, I will be miserable (and so will most everyone around me.)

Or, I can spend my time praying, giving thanks, and looking for the good in others. These things tend to breed happiness and harmony rather than grumbling and guilt.

I can spend my time with my daughter and husband pointing our their failures, or I can spend it on grace, and finding ways to help them reach their full potential.

Am I perfect in these pursuits? Not by a long shot. But this is a new year, and today is a new day, and I hope to make the most of the gift I’ve been given.
